Tensegrity
An eyewear concept featuring a custom designed, interlocking screwless hinge
00

Overview
The tensegrity concept uses a custom designed hinge consisting of multiple interlocking parts that hold each other in perfect tension. Assembled without the use of screws, the hinge’s unique appearance emerges directly from its functionality.
The tensegrity hinge was originally inspired by the work of high-tech architects and engineers like Richard Rogers and Peter Rice. As in high-tech architecture, the goal of this hinge design is to celebrate the underlying structure and technology instead of hiding it away.
